Founded in 1900 we are the oldest Italian Greyhound Club in the world but while we’re very proud of our history, our focus is on the future. Our aim is:
to protect and improve the breed, and encourage responsible ownership of Italian Greyhounds in the UK
The Italian Greyhound Club is a small breed club, with around 250 members made up of people from all walks of life with one thing in common – their love of Italian Greyhounds. Many of our members show Italian Greyhounds, but equally many of our members don’t show and we welcome everyone who has an interest in the breed and agrees to abide by our Code of Ethics. The Club is run entirely by volunteers from within our membership.
The Italian Greyhound Club runs Italian Greyhound related events throughout the year for our members, and non-members are welcome to come along to meet our members Italian Greyhounds in person. More details can be found in the ‘Shows and Events’ section.
If you have any enquiries about the work of the Italian Greyhound Club, or have a question about Italian Greyhounds you can contact us through our Online Enquiries Form. We provide information and advice not just to people who are enquiring about the breed for the first time, but also to Italian Greyhound owners who are looking for support and advice in caring for their dogs.
All the latest news about the Italian Greyhound Club and our events is posted in our News section, along with the latest show results with photos from the ring where possible so do check back regularly!
