The Italian Greyhound Club

Founded 1900 — Kennel Club Registered

Membership

We encourage anyone interested in Italian Greyhounds to join the Italian Greyhound Club, whether you have an Italian Greyhound as a companion dog, or if you’re interested in showing, and even if you don’t have an Italian but are interested in the breed.

Members of the Club receive the Club Bulletin twice a year (check out the December 2011 edition), our Club  Show Schedules, and can vote on Club matters such as appointments to the Committee and judges for Club shows.  There’s also the chance to get involved in organising club events such as the breed stand at Discover Dogs, as well as generally meeting new people who are also interested in Italian Greyhounds.

Members must agree to abide by our Code of Ethics and support our goals of protecting and improving the breed and encouraging responsible ownership.

Membership fees are via an annual subscription of £8 per year for Single Members, £12 for Joint Membership and £1 for Junior Membership (8-18 years).  Membership subs are due on 1 January each year and can be paid by standing order for added convenience.

Applicants to the Club must be proposed and seconded by existing members of the Club, but don’t worry if you don’t already know someone – we can arrange for members to propose and second you.
